Snickerdoodles

2 3/4 c. flour
2 t. cream of tartar
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1/2 t. vanilla

Sift flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Beat shortening, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add dry to wet and mix. Mix 2 T. sugar with 2 t. cinnamon. Make dough into 3/4 inch spheres and roll in cinnamon and sugar.

Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
