Vegetable Beef Stew


1 lb ground beef
1/2 c. onion
6-8 cloves garlic -minced-
1 bottle dark beer
6 c. beef broth
1 t. black pepper
1 t. parsley
1 1/2 t. marjoram
4-5 bay leaves
1 c. celery -chopped-
1 c. carrots -chopped-
4 medium potatoes -peeled and chopped-
2 c. kale -chopped-

Cook beef in pot. When beef is just done add onion and garlic. Brown beef and cook onions until translucent. Add beer and let simmer 2 minutes. Add all of the remaining ingredients except for kale and boil until potatoes are done. Remove bay leaves. Add kale and cook until kale is done.
